For more than 35 years, TLC Elderly Care offers trained caregivers–both medical and non-medical–to provide special care to elderly individuals or seniors with special needs. Many of TLC Domestic Agency caregivers have experience working with individuals who suffer Dementia, Paralysis, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or simply need some help with daily activities. Our caregivers offer an excellent alternative to institutionalized care, as it allows seniors with special needs to remain in their homes while receiving personalized one-on-one care from highly experienced caregivers. Many of TLC’s elderly care will do housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, running errands, take the seniors to doctor’s appointments, take the seniors to visit relatives, go to the beauty parlor, pay the bills, provide personal hygiene, manage and administer medication and much needed companionship.
TLC Domestic Agency has the unique advantage of having specialized in-house trainers. We have an American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certified trainer, enabling our caregivers to keep their certification current. We also have an in-house RCFE Administrator who is a certified trainer in dementia and overall care for the elderly. We have a 20-hour training program that includes all aspects of elderly care, such as hydration, communication, assistance with activities of daily living, nutrition, hygiene, dementia behaviors, and medication administration, all with a focus on preserving personal dignity.
This level of personalized care is not available in any public or private long term care facility. All of TLC’s elder caregivers have several years of experience working with elderly or special needs seniors. Many of TLC’s caregivers have completed specialized training, such as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) or nurses (LVN/LPN, RN), so you can be assured that you or your family member is receiving quality care. Most of our elderly care work five days per week. If necessary, 24-hour care and weekend care can be arranged.
We also offer assistance after surgery or illness. If caring for your family member has become increasingly challenging, TLC Domestic Agency can help. We provide in home full-time, part-time, live-in or live-out, permanent or temporary care.
